Using the most recent data available, the annual Sustainable Development Goals Report provides an overview of the world’s implementation efforts to date, highlighting areas of progress and areas where more action needs to be taken to ensure no one is left behind. This year’s report finds that while progress has been made over the past decade across all areas of development, the pace of progress has been insufficient and advancements have been uneven to fully meet the implementation of the SDGs.
5 July 2017 – Stating that the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is the “boldest agenda for humanity” and requires equally bold changes in the United Nations development system, Secretary-General António Guterres today outlined steps to better place the Organization to deliver tangible results in the lives of the people it serves.
2 July 2017 - The meeting of the high-level political forum on sustainable development in 2017 convened under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council, will be held from Monday, 10 July, to Wednesday, 19 July 2017; including the three-day ministerial meeting of the forum from Monday, 17 July, to Wednesday, 19 July 2017.
7 December 2016 - The United Nations (UN) General Assembly has approved the adoption of 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development. The resolution, adopted on 4 December 2015, recognizes “the importance of international tourism, and particularly of the designation of an international year of sustainable tourism for development, in fostering better understanding among peoples everywhere, in leading to a greater awareness of the rich heritage of various civilizations and in bringing about a better appreciation of the inherent values of different cultures, thereby contributing to the strengthening of peace in the world”.  
8 November 2016 – General Assembly President Peter Thomson briefed United Nations Member States today on the implementation strategy for implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the transformative 17-point framework for ensuring peace and prosperity for all on a healthy planet.
17 October 2016, Kyiv - Cihan Sultanoğlu, UN Assistant Secretary-General, Assistant Administrator and UNDP Regional Director took part in the High-level Group devoted to the presentation of the first draft of the National SDG Report.
Theninth regional Consultation on Adaptation and Localization of the 2030 Development Agenda and 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Ukraine was held on 23 September 2016 in the City of Chernivtsy, organized by the United Nations in Ukraine, WHO Office in Ukraine in cooperation with the Chernivtsy Oblast State Administration.
On 16-17 May 2016, 18 student teams came to Odesa to participate in All-Ukrainian debates on sustainable development. Debates, organized by the National Network of Partner Universities with support of the CBA project, were taking place for the fifth time. This year the event gathered more than 70 participants. All of them passed through the semi-finals in their own universities.

I would like to remind that back in 1992, Ukraine took part in the historic UN Summit in Rio de Janeiro where it testified its will to shape the future on the basis of principles of sustainable development.
1 September 2016 - In the framework of the High-Level Intergovernmental Working Group and in order to organize the process of implementation of Sustainable Development Goals for Ukraine, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (MEDT) conducted a series of subgroup meetings according to the thematic areas of 17 SDGs.
20 July 2016 - The United Nations in Ukraine, UN Development Programme, GiZ in Ukraine in partnership with Dnipro regional state administration conducted the first regional consultation on localization of the 2030 Development Agenda and 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Ukraine.
5 July 2016 - The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine with the support of the UN system in Ukraine launched national consultations on adaptation and localization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The purpose of consultations is to ensure common understanding of SDGs and their relevance to the context of national development of Ukraine.
29 June 2016 -  The Education Outreach Section of the United Nations Department of Public Information invites young people from around the world between the ages of 15 and 24 to submit 10- to 15-second videos in English on how the Sustainable Development Goals can build peace. When making your videos, think about why ending poverty, addressing climate change, forging equality and ensuring access to education are important to creating a more peaceful world.
27 June 2016 – On 26 June, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the United Nations agencies in Ukraine jointly with UN youth Advisory Panel, volunteers and youth associations organized the celebration of the National Youth Day with a strong focus on the Sustainable Development Goals in the heart of Kyiv capital city, on Khreshtyk street.
15 June 2016 - This September, the United Nations will announce the inaugural class of the Young Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals – 17 young change-makers whose leadership is catalyzing the achievement of the Goals.
10 June 2016 - Delegation of UNFPA in Ukraine participated in Kremenchuk Youth Forum on Sustainable Development and held a meeting with local authorities to discuss further cooperation.
7 JUN 2016 - Future science, technology and innovation forums should work cumulatively, learning and advancing on the achievements of previous sessions, the President of the Economic and Social Council said today, as the first annual multi-stakeholder forum concluded.
9 June 2016 - On June 9, 2016 NGO "New Frontier," in cooperation with NGO "Kharkiv SMART city" will hold a quest on 17 Global Goals of Sustainable Development adopted by the United Nations.
8 June 2016 – The head of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Helen Clark said today that ensuring the success of the 2030 Agenda, an ambitious plan which includes the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), remains one of the organisation’s greatest priorities.
